4Still relevant
By Deborah V
This little book was published in 2004. The Internet and the hundreds of thousands of websites on it are ever changing and fluid. Although I didn't check out all of the websites in the book, I was surprised at how many were still up and running from the ones I did!

As with any book that concentrates on online resources, with time and effort you can obviously find everything the author did. This compact reference though saves you time by having done the research.

A nice aspect to the book is the organization. It is organized by the basics which includes airlines, trains, buses, accommodations and more. This section is followed by themes and activities (sports, walking, health etc), a section on special accomodations (children, disabilities etc) and specialist holidays. The final section is country-by-country.

Yes, some of the websites have fallen victim to the economy, but the organization of the book will allow you to add on your searches to find that perfect online booking or vacation!

We have an RV and we travel a lot using it but soon, we're going to have a baby and we were kind of worried it might not be the best idea to use it during travels because of the baby. Good thing I got this book to aid our dilemma. Luckily, this book suggested solid ways on how we could childproof our RV. 2Mostly Disapointing, Lacking Major Ports of Call
By Ronald Anderson
I made this last minute purchase becasue I had not adequatly prepped for my med cruise. One positive is that the Roo recommendations were quick and easy find. Unfortunatly, the book did not cover half of my ports of call including beautuiful Chania - on the island of Crete, Greece; Bodrum, Turkey - a huge tourism port; and Kusadasi, Turkey - the gateway to the ancient city of Ephesus. For Istanbul the guide did have good advice to stroll from Taksim Square to the Galata tower but lacked the tip to take the oldest subway in the world on the way back back to avoid the steep climb and just for the experience of it. (http://www.wittistanbul.com/magazine/how-to-avoid-the-steep-climb-to-taksim-or-cihangir/) The guide also lacked the tip that from the cruise port, all city destinations are up a steep grade so don't try it on foot. Think of San Francisco grades but steeper. In all you get what you pay for. Next time I will be less frugal and get a name brand guide.

I was hoping for DEALS and tips on getting the best ones, so i am only giving this a 3. But it is more of a guide to taking the most prepared trip ever. Not the best price...or destination.

The Rough Guide to Copenhagen 3 (Rough Guide Travel Guides)

The Rough Guide to Copenhagen is like having a local friend plan your trip!

Lone Mouritsen was born in Brazil to Danish parents and is a contributor on Rough Guides to Europe and West Africa.Andrew Spooner is an experienced travel journalist and writes regularly for The Guardian.

WHEN TO GO
Copenhagen is on exactly the same latitude as Edinburgh and Moscow, and winters, as you’d expect, are wet, windy and cold, with temperatures regularly falling below zero, though if you’re prepared to brave the weather there’s the chance to go skating on the frozen city lakes before retreating for a comforting glass of hot gløgg. The city is at its prettiest in spring, when the trees come into leaf and people emerge from their layers of winter clothing. Summer weather can be variable: rain is a common occurrence, though when the sun appears the locals turns out in force, occupying every last corner of every park and pavement café, while the long summer evenings see the city at its liveliest.

1Terrible maps and minimal info regarding transportation
By Jacqueline
As an experienced budget traveler, I've used many guides to many cities over the years, and I've generally had great success. This guide, however, was a tremendous disappointment. I found that the maps at the end of the book were virtually impossible to use - you couldn't connect one to another (if you were going across different sections of town), and they contained very few destinations on the maps themselves, so it was difficult to determine where things were in relation to each other.

The descriptions were lengthy, yet still lacking in content, particularly in terms logistics such as locations, how to get there by public transportation, prices, or hours.

I also learned an important general lesson about guidebooks - city guides are only worthwhile if you will be spending about a week or more in the city. For just a day or two, it's far better to get the country guide, as the portion on the city of interest will be more concise.

I'll stick to Let's Go (my favorite!) and Lonely Planet in the future.
