3Informative
By K. V. A. Iyer
I bought Frommer's `The Algarve with your Family' after having finalised my travel plan to Algarve region of Portugal lest I may miss out something unique.

For three days during August 2009 I did carriage driving through dirt tracks of the rolling hills of Espinhaçao do Câo in the border of Lagos and Aljesur - where Mr. David Fry and his son Manny, who are accomplished horsemen, provide excellent facilities for horseback riding and carriage driving. The horses are happy and looked after well in their 50 acre property, which was formerly a hill farm. This is a family friendly facility having level headed horses that are friendly even to beginners.

I do not find any mention of this facility in the book. It would be good to include the details - available at [...]

We just returned from a week in Algarve and piurchased this book, hoping the "local scoop" would help us find the true jewels. Not so much. Though some of this travel book is done well, we found it to be quite overrated with the "sites"... making a simple site out to be much more than it really was. For example, the Portugese water dogs at the Rio de Formose Natural Preserve were talked up quite highly. We were quite surprised with how simple the entire "preserve" was- thre was only one water dog to look at and honestly, it wasn't that exciting or impressive... sorry folks. The sites that are listed don't have good (or any at times) directions to them, which would have been quite helpful for us.

5Awesome resource for all looking to make some extra income!
By DJesus
Ive been dying to get into real-estate! I have always been interested in it. Not only for the fiscal benefits of it, but for the knowledge and the overall challenge of it all. I know that to succeed in real estate, must one have a competitive edge! And I'm all about that. I just wasn't sure how I'd get started with it!

This book literally became my bible! It guided me through every aspect of real estate, and most important of all, it taught me how to profit from my investments! I recently just rented out a duplex which I'm offering as a vacation rental for tourist! And living in Orlando makes that pretty easy for me. Haha. This is a brilliant resource for all looking to make some extra income.

5Profound, insightful and humorous!
By Charlie
This book is truly an excellent resource for us in the real estate market! I am a professor at Tulane University and I teach an investments and finance class. I actually purchased this book and used it for one of my classes. It's incredible how chalk-full of information this book is! I loved Evelina's profound and often humorous approach on the topic of profiting from things such as boutiques or vacation rentals, all while offering a helpful list of "do's and dont's", which my students found to be an easier way of digesting the information. I actually found it even more insightful then the textbooks here at school! Sad, but it's the honest true! Great book! I highly recommend it!

5Love it, especially the humour!
By Evelina Ortynski
This is book quite funny so if it's your first book on real estate, you will love it!

The examples are simple and it's easy to read. Its an easy guide to even make an extra couple of bucks from not doing much.

5I love this book!
By BusyMom
I got this nutrition book for my Christmas present and while I thought I knew a fair amount about nutrition I was amazed how much I learned. I especially loved how it explained the science behind each topic (for example the cold pressed/expelled oils - which made me go into my pantry and look at labels and then go out and buy some better oils). The explanations were nice and short. The recipes are so easy and my teenagers love everything I've tried.

The information is so basic that chances are you already know everything in it and could come up with almost the same information if you had to pretend to know something about essential oils to impress someone. 5An excellent and therapeutic read!
By Ayesha S
An excellent and therapeutic read! This book helps us mothers to identify the guilt we feel, subconsciously much of the time whilst we are trying to balance absolutely everything - and tells us not to despair, we can do something about it! This book takes you on this sensitive journey to healing yourself, from offering practical advice to various exercises you can undertake to help you take charge of your life, which in turn will free you up to nurture your loved ones and create a happy, loving environment. Amber poignantly reminds us we are all deserving mothers, and by listening and taking care of our own needs, we can ensure we are 'guilt free', and put our positive energies into ensuring a happy family all round.

3Good reminders and nice to know I'm not the only one!
By Lisa
I could relate to this book well in terms of the guilt associated with being a Mom. The first half of it was a bit of a struggle to read because I was very eager to learn how to help myself, which is organized in the last half of the book. Amber had some good reminders and tips on how to help yourself, but I didn't get much help on how to drop the guilt. I did enjoy the case studies in the end. As moms we all have different struggles, it was helpful to see how several started living guilt-free in their own circumstances. A short read and worth that!

5The "Missing Manual"
By T. A. Davila
My wife and I were recently blessed with the placement of three beautiful children (ages 2, 3 & 6) through Children's Protective Services. Having never been parents before, we were initially overwhelmed with the responsibility and chaos. We spent several tearful evenings wondering if we were cut out for the challenges of child-rearing.

After a particularly bad temper tantrum by the 2 year old, I left the house in desperation. I spent the afternoon at the nearest bookstore and browsed a stack of over 20 books in search of the elusive "perfect resource". My search concluded when I picked up a copy of "Toddler 411". This book stood head and shoulders above any other book I had browsed... it was the crème on top of the coffee! It was the perfect parenting resource.

Since purchasing "Toddler 411" we have referred to the book on a near daily basis. From constipation to ear-aches, this book has provided an answer for EVERY question we have thrown at it. I highly recommend this book to all parents. In particular, I strongly recommend this book to new adoptive parents of toddlers. For them, this book should be required reading. It is the "Instruction Manual" our case worker forgot to give us.

3Lots of medical advice with little else
By M. Barber
I bought this book as another resource for ideas on the trickier areas of raising a toddler -- temper tantrums, taking away the pacifier, potty training and the like. I expected some medical-related chapters in addition to practical advice on other issues. After receiving the book, I eagerly sat down and started reading. To my disappointment, the book is mostly medical advice. While it's been great when I've wanted to figure out which teeth should be coming in next or narrow down what could be causing a rash, it has very little information about other topics. If you're looking for a medical reference book, this one is better than most. If you're looking for new or creative ideas on how to deal with the behavioral and social issues of raising a toddler, keep looking.

5A Must Have for Toddler Parents
By Stacy
I love Baby 411 and I give it to every expecting parent that I know. I was hopeful that this sequel lived up to my high expectations. I will admit, when I originally previewed this book when my daughter was about 9 months old, I wasn't impressed. I didn't understand why so much of the book was focused on discipline. Well- the joke was on me! Now that my daughter is 12 months old I completely understand why so much was on discipline! That is what you do when you have a toddler! I am looking forward to using this book as a reference for many months to come. Lastly, if you are not familiar with the 411 series, the author's writing style is down-to-earth, to the point, and focused on common sense. They do not write in a clinical manner and I appreciate the advice coming from pediatrician's that sound like my friends.
