If you haven’t travelled with children before, this book is for you. If you have travelled with children and it didn’t go to plan, then this book is for you to. On a trip to Fiji with hubby and two children, I realised just how much work and effort we had put in just for a seven day holiday. Travelling with children is a whole different world. You can no longer pack your bags on a minutes notice and fly to the other side of the world. Travelling with children takes organisation and you need to mentally and physically prepare yourself for your fun filled family holiday. Hubby and I spent time researching and planning our family holiday which I know will help other families. This book is different to other travel books for it is very practical. There is a space to write down everything you can think of that will make your family holiday a success. There is space provided to write down all your fantastic ideas while you are on holidays. I came up with this idea to write this book while on holidays. Dreams can come true, especially if you write them down. The book is a memoir of your holiday. In years to come you can refer back to it. You can relive all those great moments that you wrote about. Both the parents and children will love it. The book is fun, quirky with holiday/family pictures and it is extremely practical.

Her hubby Matt and boys, Alex and Thomas give her their unconditional love and support for every new venture she embarks on. A Year on the Streets: A Classic Indictment of Modern

Ten years of working in Soup Kitchens has given the Author a privileged glimpse into another world. It is a world of poverty and degradation, lived out on a daily basis, by people forced to live rough on the streets. Follow him on his daily journey throughout the year, in one of the most deprived towns in England.

Radical Rooney was born and bred on the Falls Road in Belfast. As a teenager he immigrated to England to find work, but initially had to live rough under Clacton Pier, for six months. He went to London and had dozens of different jobs over the years, but eventually went to Israel to spend a year working mostly in a kibbutz. He later spent a similar time working in the United States. Over the years he developed an interest in writing, and in Poetry, and has published 'the Century Collection' This is a comprehensive collection of one hundred poems and haiku, and is readily available. He acquired strong photographic skills and has had exhibitions to his credit. He was a Semi-finalist in the 2010 Hasselblad Masters has also won various awards in this respect, and the German Luftwaffe use his photographs in their training manuals for fighter pilots. He was sponsored by Hampstead Council for an exhibition, and some of the work sold there, now hangs in Japan and America. On U-Tube various strangers have put his poetry to music, or song and one was even turned into a Hymn. He sponsors his own Website, Radical Rooney.com where he showcases his photographs with stories and articles. He holds a Class 'A' Amateur Radio licence, G4PXZ, and has a number of Patents to his credit. He has been a member of 'Mensa' since 2005, and holds an International Press Card. He hopes to publish his third book, "For the Love of Dog" before 2013. This is a devastating story of animal cruelty, written in a typical 'Radical' style, with a very surprising twist.

A year of being in contact with street dwellers

Author's story as he shares daily entries for a year as he volunteers at soup kitchens in a poor town in England. At times heartbreaking and at times laugh-out-loud funny as he shares the depths people go to and their ridiculous behavior. Some swearing. Provides daily weather report. Includes crimes listed in the paper. Some B/W photos, glossary at the end. Engaging read.

Truly a worthy read!

This is one of those books that easlily motivates and helps you think outside of the box. Too many agents and hopefuls get into this business only to be out of the business within 18 mos or less. Generally due to being followers in hopes there is a pattern and it will just work, and not free thinkers using the skills they have been born with. Mark Williams book and his approach is a unique and refreshing look at how this can be successfully done with the God given skill set you were born with. I found it to be a quick read and one in which their is not alot of fluff or BS but sound, experienced advice from a top producing agent in the highly competitive world of high end Los Angeles living. Long story short its a great read and I would recomend it to anyone, as well as as office mgrs who might share its outlook with new incoming agents. You never know who the next big agent may be.

Required Reading for Beginning Real Estate Agents

A well thought out and thoroughly presented plan for selling reall estate and living a happier and more productive life. Directed at beginner agents, the book contains excellent ideas and enthusiastic presentation. It gets a little too long and repititious. Gramatical errors sometimes makes it difficult to follow.

Great Book that you can actually use to create a productive game plan for success. There's no fluff here. I've been using some of the teachings in my weekly meetings and my newer and no so new agents have been benefiting from it. Wish this book was around when I was starting in real estate years ago.

Right at the get-go, it’s clear that David Rowicz’s ‘The Cancun Insider’ is for the traveller who does not want to compromise on enjoying a wonderful vacation destination such as Cancun, Mexico. And refreshingly, Rowicz has hit the nail on the head with this book: forget about all those other travel guides that seem to be so preoccupied with how to get where—‘The Cancun Insider’ is, to put it bluntly, all about how you can have a truly great time in Cancun.

Rowicz knows what he writes about—he has stayed in Cancun in exactly the same circumstances that you might be thinking about visiting it—on a limited budget. The author—who obviously understands where the reader may be coming from—leaves no stone unturned in really discussing everything a “tabula rasa” may need to know about the destination—from the local culture, to even cures for hangovers. Highly recommend this book! But beware, I bought several kindle edition Cancun books and this is the exact same book as "Cancun: This is NOT a Travel Guide", strange thing is these books have different authors so how does that happen???? I'm complaining to Amazon!!!!

The best guide out there for my family and I

This is by far the best guide out there. Sure, this guide isn't for everyone... he even says it himself. If you have thousands of dollars to spend, only want to visit the biggest tourist traps, or if you want to stick with expensive (and overrated) restaurants, this NOT the guide for you. If you're like me, going with a family that is on a budget, that wants to really experience authentic Mexican culture and food, and have a lot of fun while you're at it, this is the perfect thing.
Although I'm "Gringo", I have lived in Central America for many years and so I'm familiar with the Latin American culture. However, Rowicz offered many insights that were unique to the Cancun area that I really appreciated, since I had never visited the Yucatan. Sure, he definitely has parts of the book that are geared to young, single adults, but he has overwhelming amounts of useful information for famlies and others as well.
In my opinion, the only thing that could make this Guide Book perfect is if he included more information of the surrounding cities of the Riviera Maya, like Playa del Carmen, Tulum, etc. He definitely has valuable information about these areas, but the central focus is on Cancun, just as the title would suggest.
I'll say it again: If you know you're not the type of the person that does not enjoy trying new things, experiencing new cultures, or if you have plenty of money to spend, this probably isn't the guide for you. But my wife and kids thoroughly enjoyed our vacation here and can definitely thank Rowicz for providing some great vacation ideas and tips.

Living every desk jockey's fantasy life

I met Ian in Nepal when he and I happened to be on the same trek to Everest Base Camp. I had a vague recollection of the story of the guy who put his entire life up on E-bay, and was amazed at the coincidence that would bring that guy into my own life. Ian was a joy to travel with, and his stories of his adventures kept me laughing and entertained through our two week journey. When he told me that he was thinking of turning the entire adventure into a book, I couldn't wait to read it. Well, now that the book is published, I'm pleased to have been able to finally read about his back story, previous adventures, and the events that followed his and my adventure together.

The book is well written, with a combination of blog entries and personnal narration. Switching between the styles is easy on the brain, and never feels disruptive to the narrative. His writing is laid back, funny, and very personal at times. This is a person who has had more than his share of personal challenges, and been able to find the good in everything. It's a great testimony to the human spirit, and the tendency of humankind to help a traveler, no matter where he hails from.

It's about the journey...

I sat down to read this book thinking I would just start it, but could not put it down! I read the entire book in one sitting. When I was done, I felt that I had traveled around the world with Ian, and was better for it. I cheered with him, cried with him, and relived the joy of healing from a broken heart. I was inspired. The book is framed around Ian's goals, but really it's about so much more. The very thing that catapulted Ian into action worldwide is what brought him such joy in the end, with a hell of a journey along the way.

The writing flows well, is accessible and enjoyable with just enough detail. I felt I was along for the ride, and was welcomed to join in the fun, just as Ian so freely shared his goals with so many others. The goals are interesting and enjoyable, and the people Ian meets are just as much fun as the goals. I felt I shared parts of my bucket list with Ian, and although he beat me to it, his accounts invite me to feel heroic and relaxed enough to follow. (Except, I'll never run with the bulls!) There are lots of good travel tips. The book reads in parts like a helpful TripTik, and is very informative about details that matter.

The book reminds us that life is not as much about the destination as it is about the journey, that we are all more alike than different, and that anything done with good intentions and an open heart can't be wrong. Oh, and there's a very happy ending. Expect tears again. It's a good thing.

A great read for a real life adventure!

Having experienced many of the same struggles as Ian, I easily identified with his unique and challenging journey through life, this world and the most difficult: Where am I going? How will I get there? Will I find the true love of my life? I HIGHLY recommend this book for so many reasons but mostly because Ian's casual attitude comes through his writing. You experience the same highs and lows that people experience when traveling. Forcing himself to trust in his fellow man and hoping for the best in total strangers can be daunting and a little scary. Ian's two year odyssey will give you much to ponder as well as practical advise for globe trotting on a budget. Pick up this book and you will have a hard time putting it down! Congrats Ian!

You will read this over and over!

I don't ever write reviews but... Victoria Tweed's Trilogies of Two Old Fools are too wonderful and funny not to let everyone in on! I prefer biographies so when I was searching the Kindle store I found the first in the series. Chickens, Mules and Two Old Fools. I could not put it down. Chickens is about Victoria and her Husband Joe and their very daring move from England to a tiny village in the moutains of Spain. You will find yourself laughing out loud and yearning to be right there with them! If you want hours of enjoyable reading buy this books. You will not be disappointed.

Favorite Trilogy

I have LOVED all of the books in this trilogy and the last one did not disappoint. Laugh out loud delightful writing. I drive my family crazy following them around reading out loud. I just can't help sharing. I high recommend these books to anyone who is looking for a laugh or a literary trip abroad.

Two Old Fools on a Camel

Up until now "Chickens" was my favorite of Victoria Tweeds books but "Two Old Fools on a Camel" with its insite into a terrible time in world history surpasses it. It is riviting. She and her Joe live their normal day to day lives in the middle of the chaos of a war and teaching of school in a culture different from Spain or England. They did finally meet some of the King's camels and Victoria always with a heart for a beast painted a loving picture of them. The children,Fatima's overbearing mother, the insane teacher no one could stand, their own desire to be back at home in Spain all contribute to a wonderful story.Two Old Fools on a Camel ~ From Spain to Bahrain and back again
