Great for a Behind the Scenes look at My Favorite Comic Strip

Brings back fond memories. Lynn does a wonderful job of including behind the scenes commentaries on her strips. The book also includes pictures on Lynn and her family. How precious to see small Aaron and Katie, the inspirations for Michael and Elizabeth. I'm hoping she has the time and energy to keep these treasuries coming until the strip came to its satisfying conclusion.

It's really enjoyable to read Lynn Johnston' comments on the cartoon family, her back story about the characters, and, of course, to get to read the extra cartoons she inserts in the book.

I own every book she's written. Watching the family grow up and meeting the challenges of changing children has been aptly handled by her humor. I would suggest that you start with her first book and read them in order. Maybe checking them out from the library first. This is the second treasury collection. It can be read as a stand-alone. And I suggest you do...read it.
